TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Alchemy Mindworks, creators of Graphic Workshop, GIF Construction Set and other popular

Active Controls examples

Active X and the creation of Active controls. Active controls are like Java applets, and can be
inserted inside web pages, spreadsheets, word documents etc. This page shows some examples of
active controls, and how they can be used to "enhance" your web site. You will need IE4 or above.

The HTML programmer is able to control the colors of several items that make up the page.
These include the background color, text color, link color, and visited link color.
This site lists the name and RGB of 100 colors that are now available. You can view
all the colors at once. Or if you select an individual color - you will see it set as the
background color, with an example of 8 possibilities for text colors.

Test of Universally Defined Color Names
|
This document uses a table with cell-specific background colors to illustrate browser
rendering of the 16 basic defined color names. You can use this document to test your
browser's support of these color names. You can also view the list of
Extended color names
